ECMA conducts ordnance disposal operation in Jawf

JAWF,  Dec. 26 (YPA) – The emergency team of the Executive Center for Mine Action (ECMA) conducted a large-scale disposal operation of war remnants in the Al-Masloub area of Jawf Governorate.

Conducted under the slogan “For a Safer Life,” the operation adhered to the highest local and international standards to ensure the complete safety of residents and protect public and private property.

The initiative is part of a series of field interventions by ECMA aimed at reducing casualties, minimizing human losses from explosive remnants of war, and creating a secure environment that allows residents to move freely.

ECMA continues to clear war remnants through its own efforts, despite the suspension of international support in recent years. These operations aim to protect livelihoods, enable farmers to access their lands, and allow residents to carry out daily activities, thereby strengthening economic and social stability in affected areas.

The Executive Mine Action Center emphasized that these operations are part of a comprehensive strategy to clear contaminated areas and eliminate the threat of mines and war remnants as part of its humanitarian commitment.

ECMA added that the interventions aim to enhance community stability and protect lives, reaffirming its commitment to continue operations until all areas are fully cleared of these silent threats.
