Haredi protests against conscription paralyze traffic in “Tel Aviv”

QUDS, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Dozens of Haredi demonstrators blocked Route 4 in the Bnei Brak area of central occupied Palestine on Monday, protesting a law mandating compulsory conscription into the Israeli occupation army.

Hebrew media reported that demonstrators from the so-called Al Quds Faction blocked the road in both directions between the” thousands of Sadeh ” Junction and the Umm Hamshpot junction, while traffic heading south from Umm Hamshpot towards the city of Petah Tikva was disrupted.

The occupation police declared the demonstration illegal, saying its troops were deployed at the site to divert traffic to alternative routes and urged drivers to avoid the area and use other roads.

“The Israeli police consider the right to demonstrate to be the cornerstone of a Democratic state and allow protests as long as they remain within the framework of the law, but they will not allow disruption of public order, encroachment on freedom of movement or actions that endanger public safety,” the police said in a statement.
