Report: 3 children, 12 civilians killed in Saudi-led attacks on Yemen over 24 hours
SANAA, Aug.2 (YPA) – Three children and 12 civilians were killed and five civilians, including children, were injured when the US-backed Saudi-led coalition launched a series of airstrikes and ground attacks on several areas of Yemen provinces during the past 24 hours, according to reports combined by Yemen Press Agency on Thursday.
- In Saada province:
A woman and her child were killed and another was injured in an airstrike hit a home in Saqeen district.
A child and a woman were killed in an airstrike on a home in Qad area of Razih district.
Civilians’ properties were damaged in missile and artillery shelling at residential areas of Shada border district.
Missile and artillery shells targeted residential areas of Monabeh and Boqem border districts.
- In Hodeidah province:
Nine fishermen were killed in airstrikes off the territorial waters of Zoqer island.
Two fishermen were injured when the coalition targeted Kotamah island, and others were lost.
Two children were wounded in airstrikes on Bait-Faqih district.
Five of Saudi-backed militiamen raped the child Ameen Yaqoub, 16 years old, until he died in Tuhaita district.
An airstrike hit Jamal-roundabout in Howk district.
Several airstrikes destroyed a mosque in Duraihimi district.
Three airstrikes targeted Tikfash island of Tuhaita district.
Three airstrikes were waged on the east of the airport.
Two airstrikes hit Salif district.
- In Hajjah province:
A Saudi-led airstrike hit Abs district.
