Low temperatures forecast on mountainous highlands of Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology has launched an alert package on weather developments, predicting low temperatures on mountainous highlands.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that cold to very cold weather would hit the provinces of Saada, Omran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Bayda, and Lahj, with the possibility of fog formation and sporadic rains.

It added that sporadic rainfall may be expected on the southern and eastern coasts, with wind activity in Bab el-Mandeb and the south of the west coast reaching speeds of up to 25 knots.

The center called on motorists to drive carefully on the mountainous roads due to the low horizontal visibility due to fog or rain.
