GAZA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Hamas movement has called on mediators and the international community to take effective steps to compel the Israeli occupation to honor the obligations of the ceasefire agreement, warning against the systematic policies aimed at deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
The movement cited a joint statement by the United Nations and over 200 humanitarian organizations, which warned against the occupation’s obstruction of relief operations and its move to cancel the registration of dozens of international organizations.
Hamas accused the Netanyahu government of using aid as a “weapon” and tightening the siege. It noted that the deaths of children due to extreme cold are an extension of the “genocidal war” and a crime resulting from the prevention of reconstruction.
The movement emphasized that these policies, along with hundreds of field violations that have led to hundreds of deaths, represent a clear breach of the ceasefire agreement signed under the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Hamas urged the U.S. administration and President Trump to pressure the occupation to ensure that international organizations are not obstructed and that displaced persons receive relief. This appeal comes after another child died in the “Al-Mawasi” area of Khan Younis, bringing the toll of victims from the recent winter storms to 16 deaths within one week.
This escalation occurs as the occupation has destroyed 90% of the civilian infrastructure, amid a total toll of aggression exceeding 70,000 martyrs and 171,000 injured.
