Abuse of Holy Quran in American elections… What is the reason for using it as propaganda?

SANAA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – It hasn‘t been five months since the Republican Party candidate for Congress in the US state of Texas Valentina Gomez last August burned the Koran to support her election campaign, until today a new abuse appeared by an American candidate named “Jake Lang”, where he stuffed a copy of the Holy Quran into a pig’s mouth as part of an election advertisement .

The question that arises: Why do candidates use insulting the Holy Quran as election propaganda in the United States of America?

In the American political system, many candidates rely on the support of organized and influential lobbies known for their absolute support for “Israel”, these lobbies reward candidates who adopt hostile rhetoric towards Islam.

A candidate who adopts a hostile speech towards Islam or insults the Holy Quran is seen in these circles as eligible for financial, logistical and media support, as these lobbies see Islam as an incubator environment for the Palestinian resistance, and reward those who show explicit loyalty to their agenda by escalating religious hostility, which makes attacking Islam one of the basic conditions within the electoral race .

Insulting the Holy Quran not only serves the candidate at the electoral level, but also turns religious hostility into a tangible political gain.

Consequently, the candidate seeks to prove his loyalty to the axis supporting “Israel”, and to consolidate the narrative that makes the conflict with the Palestinians a “civilizational/religious” conflict, instead of being an issue of occupation and rights, and justifying “Israel”‘s aggressive policies as protection for the West.

In addition, these practices aim to gradually break the red lines to create a new reality by normalizing the abuse of Islamic sanctities, measuring international and Islamic reactions, and exploring the limits of acceptance of more aggressive rhetoric in the future .

Moreover, these acts intersect with the attempt to distort solidarity with Palestine, demonize resistance movements, and link Islam to violence in the Western consciousness, and therefore, the abuse of the Quran becomes a tool within an integrated pressure system aimed at fortifying Israel politically and morally, promoting its narrative inside the United States, while continuing to invest fear and hatred for personal electoral gains for candidates.
