Military cargo plane crashes in Sudan

KHARTOUM, Dec. 10 (YPA) – A military cargo plane crashed on Tuesday while attempting to land at an airbase in the east of Sudan, killing all crew members, two military sources said to Agence France-Presse.

 

The military source said that a technical malfunction caused the army’s Ilyushin cargo plane to crash while attempting to land at Digna Airbase in Port Sudan city.

 

Another military source reported that “all crew members of the Ilyushin 76 were killed.”

 

This incident comes as Sudan is suffering one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
