UAE-backed factions prepare to seize Islah Party camps in Lahj

ADEN, Dec. 07 (YPA) – Informed sources have revealed intensive military preparations by UAE-backed factions in Aden city, southern Yemen, to seize control of the most strategic camps belonging to the Islah Party in Lahj Governorate.

Information indicates that the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions are preparing to take over the “Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade” of the Islah Party, led by “Abu Bakr Al-Jabouli,” which is deployed in the districts of Tur Al-Bahah and Al-Maqatirah in Lahj, extending to Al-Shamaytayn district in southwestern Taiz.

The sources confirmed that these preparations are being conducted in coordination with the UAE-backed forces of “Tariq Afash” (Tariq Mohammed Abdullah Saleh) in Mocha city, with the aim of attacking and storming the brigade’s command and positions. This move reportedly has the approval of the Minister of Defense in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.

The plan aims to seize weapons depots and raid the homes of military leaders loyal to Islah party within the brigade, mirroring what occurred in the First Military Region in the Hadramout province.
