Sanaa-appointed Mahra Governor: Saudi-Emirati moves are a “dangerous” plot to tear Yemen, plunder its wealth
SANAA, Dec. Dec. 06 (YPA) – The Sanaa-appointed Governor of Mahra governorate, Al-Qatabi Al-Faraji, has asserted that the recent Saudi and Emirati movements in the governorates of Mahra and Hadramout, eastern Yemen, constitute a “dangerous plot” to dismember the country and plunder its wealth, in implementation of American and Israeli agendas.
“Accusation of Working Towards Division and Control”
Al-Faraji clarified that these moves aim to “prepare the ground for the division and tearing apart of the country and the plundering of its wealth.”
The Governor accused the so-called “Southern Transitional Council” (STC) and the militias affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition of seeking to control Mahra and Hadramout, “constricting its people and imposing an external agenda.”
He pointed out that the “Saudi collusion with the actions of the Emirati tools” reveals a “shared agreement to pass external agendas whose goal is to tear Yemen apart and turn its regions into conflict arenas as part of a clear and explicit division project.”
“Occupation and Fueling Popular Resentment”
Al-Faraji described the conflicts witnessed in “the occupied governorates” (areas under the coalition’s control), which he stated are adopted by the Saudi and Emirati sides with British and American support, as “one of the forms of occupation of those governorates.”
He confirmed that the criminal and reckless practices of the Saudi-Emirati occupier and their agents “are fueling the state of boiling anger and popular resentment” over the current conditions.
The governor stressed that these practices will only increase the determination of the people of Mahra, and the occupied governorates in general, to “confront the occupation in all its forms.”
Al-Faraji mentioned that the people of Mahra have become more aware of the goals and ambitions of the “American-Israeli occupation and its tools, the UAE and Saudi Arabia,” and their hidden intentions to plunder the nation’s wealth and control international maritime navigation passages, as well as the sea and land ports in the occupied governorates.
“Call for National Alignment”
The Mahra governor called upon the free people of the occupied governorates, foremost among them the people of Mahra, the tribes, and civil society organizations, to unify efforts to confront the occupation forces and thwart their plans.
He emphasized that the national alignment is the “only and most optimal way to confront the danger threatening the country” and that the unity of the popular stance is the “impenetrable barrier against the enemy’s schemes and its tools that seek to fragment the social fabric and destabilize the country.”
