Firefighters control 3 separate fires in capital Sana’a

SANAA, Dec. 05 (YPA) – Civil Defense teams managed to control three separate fires in the capital city of Sana’a, without any casualties.
 
A report issued by the Civil Defense Authority explained that the operations room received a report of a fire in the two-story house of citizen Ha’il Nabil Al-Salami in the Nuqam neighborhood of the Azal district in the capital city. Fire and rescue teams immediately moved to the scene and were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the house.
 
The incident resulted in the burning of the roof and parts of the kitchen, and it was determined that the cause of the fire was negligence.
 
In Sha’ub district, Civil Defense teams controlled a fire that broke out in an electricity pole in the Sa’wan area of ​​the Sha’ub district. The fire caused parts of the pole to burn, and the cause of the fire, according to the Authority’s operations room, was an electrical short circuit.
 
Civil Defense teams also managed to control another fire that broke out in a four-story house belonging to citizen Fouad Hussein Al-Saloul in the Al-Hafa neighborhood of the same district, without any casualties.
 
The Civil Defense Operations Room explained that upon receiving the report of the incident, firefighting and rescue teams from the department headquarters moved to the site and were able to contain the fire that broke out on the fourth floor and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the house.
 
It indicated that the fire caused parts of the roof and several kitchen utensils to burn, in addition to damaging five gas cylinders that were present at the scene, pointing out that the cause of the fire was a gas leak and the lack of public safety equipment.
 
The Civil Defense Department also stressed the importance of adhering to safety requirements, regularly inspecting electrical connections, ensuring that gas cylinder valves are closed, supervising children inside homes, and providing basic fire extinguishers and early warning devices. It emphasized that prevention remains the first line of defense for protecting lives and property from various hazards.
