Israeli occupation forces infiltrate entrance of Al-Hamidiya Village in Al-Quneitra

DAMASCUS, Dec. 01 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces infiltrated northern Al-Quneitra countryside, where military units entered through the eastern entrance of Al-Hamidiya Village, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported, citing sources.

According to the sources, the units included a military armoured vehicle and a car carrying six Israeli soldiers, before establishing a temporary checkpoint at the entrance of the village.

The incursion comes amid ongoing Israeli military activities inside Syrian territory.

SOHR also observed the displacement of several families from the town of Beit Jinn in southwestern Damascus countryside, following the sounds of military vehicles near the outskirts of the town, in conjunction with flight of Israeli helicopters over the area.

Sources cited by SOHR indicated that the displaced families moved to safer areas in the nearby countryside, amid public concern over the escalating Israeli military activity around Beit Jinn.

SOHR noted that these movements are part of a series of Israeli aerial and ground operations in southern Syria, with no reports so far of direct clashes or targeted strikes.
