Security forces arrest murder suspect in Taiz within 24 hours

TAIZ, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Security forces in the Directorate of “At-Ta’iziyah”, Taiz Governorate, arrested 40-year-old Hashim Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Shamari on charges of murder, just hours after he shot and killed Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al-Shamari.

The arrest took place within less than 24 hours of the crime.

According to the security report, the suspect fired an automatic weapon at the victim, hitting him in the lower back, killing him instantly.

Upon receiving the report, security officers, along with a criminal investigation team, arrived at the crime scene. The body was transported to the forensic morgue, and the investigation was launched. Within a day, police apprehended the suspect and began legal procedures.

The authorities revealed that the motive for the crime was a land dispute and confirmed that the suspect has been referred for legal proceedings in preparation for trial.
