Palestinian authorities say 33,000 women, girls killed over past two years

GAZA, Nov. 26 (YPA) – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has reported that at least 33,000 Palestinian women and girls have lost their lives as a result of Israeli military assaults over the past two years.

This statement was issued by the ministry, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Over the past two years, “Israel” has carried out extensive military operations in Gaza, ending with a ceasefire in October 2025, while also increasing attacks in the occupied West Bank, which authorities say resulted in tens of thousands of Palestinian deaths.

According to the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza, the Israeli occupation killed more than 12,500 women and over 20,000 children in Gaza during this period, contributing to a total of over 69,000 reported deaths.

Meanwhile, official Palestinian institutions reported 1,080 Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks in the West Bank during the same period, without providing statistics on the number of women and children among these casualties.
