BISHKEK, Nov. 24 (YPA) – The Yemen national under-17 football team achieved a historic and overwhelming victory against the Guam national team with a score of 10 clean goals in a match held on Monday during the second round of the Asian Qualifiers in Kyrgyzstan.
The Yemeni youth delivered a powerful attacking display, finishing the first half with seven goals before adding three more in the second half. The goals were scored by Fahad Al-Faqih, Haitham Al-Faqih, Bashir Sailan (two goals), Yousef Fadel, Mohammed Sadeq, and Ahmed Nasser, in addition to an own goal.
With this resounding win, the Yemen team raised its tally to 6 points, securing a perfect record to lead the top of the group, while the Guam team remained at the bottom of the standings with zero points.
The Yemeni team is now preparing for its upcoming match against Cambodia on Wednesday afternoon, aiming to continue its winning streak under the leadership of coach Haitham Al-Asbahi.
