SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Specialized Criminal Court has sentenced 17 individuals to death on November 22, 2025, for their involvement in an espionage network affiliated with American, Israeli, and Saudi intelligence agencies.
According to the Sanaa-run Saba news agency, the individuals were part of “espionage cells” that conducted intelligence activities and operational actions for hostile entities.
The agency affirmed that the court convicted both Bashir Ali Mahdi, Khalid Qasim Abdullah, Nasser Ali Al-Shaiba Nasser Al-Hanshi, Imad Shayea Muhammad, Ali Methna Nasser, Farouq Ali Rajeh Hizam, Ali Ahmed Ahmed, Dhaif Allah Saleh Zouqem, Abdulrahman Adel Abdulrahman, and Anas Ahmed Salman, in additional to Sinan Abdulaziz Ali Saleh, Nayef Yaseen Abdullah Qaed, Bassam Hassan Saleh, Mujahid Mohammed Ali, Ali Ali Ahmed Hamoud, Hamoud Hassan Hamoud, and Magdy Mohammed Hussein.
The court also convicted Huda Ali Saleh and Abdullah Abdullah Nasher and sentenced them to ten years in prison.
The prosecution claimed the network’s activities resulted in civilian deaths, infrastructure destruction, and harm to Yemen’s political, economic, and military interests during 2024-2025.
