“PetroMasila” abruptly hands over oil block (5) in Shabwa to “Jannah Hunt” to end “leadership” disputes

ADEN, Nov. 22 (YPA) – The oil company “PetroMasila” announced the sudden handover of Oil Block (5) in the Usailan district of Shabwa Governorate to “Jannah Hunt” company within one week, following directives from the Oil Minister of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.

The company confirmed the decision in a message to its employees dated November 19. This step is intended to resolve acute disputes that have persisted for nearly two years among members of the “Presidential Leadership Council” regarding the identity of the block’s operator.

It is noted that “Jannah Hunt” acquired the block in a “Chinese-Singaporean” format through local figures as agents, including the son of “Leadership Council” President Rashad al-Alimi, despite the fact that it is not the well-known US “Hunt Oil.”
