Israeli occupation forces raid Nablus, detain several Palestinians

NABLUS, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Nablus and several towns and villages in the governorate early Thursday morning.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli military vehicles stormed several neighborhoods of the city and began breaking and smashing the doors of some commercial shops near the National Hospital on Faisal Street.

The occupation forces also raided the Old City of Nablus and its surroundings, firing live bullets and sound grenades in the area of the main roundabout.

The same sources indicated that the occupation forces detained a number of young men in front of the National Hospital.

In the same context, Israeli forces stormed the villages of Bita and Orif south of Nablus, and Beit Furik to the east.

The sources added that the occupation forces conducted house raids and searches in the towns and villages, detaining several residents and conducting on-site interrogations.

They also reported that the occupation forces assault a resident during a raid on his home in Bita and arrested his brother, the young man Muhannad Dweikat, from the same house.
