Ansarallah rejects UN SC resolutions on sanctions, formation of international force in Gaza

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The Political Bureau of Ansarallah strongly denounced the renewal of sanctions on Yemen, considering the decision a “desperate attempt at revenge” for Yemen’s effective role in supporting Gaza and confronting the “Zionist enemy.”

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Bureau confirmed its rejection of the continuation of the UN’s Panel of Experts, noting that its reports on Yemen are “full of lies and fallacies.”

The statement warned of the danger of continuing the sanctions and using them as a “cover for military escalation and aggression” against Yemen under the pretext of protecting international navigation, asserting that the United States is the one working to “militarize the Red Sea.”

The Bureau also reiterated that Yemen’s supportive stance toward the Palestinian people is “a matter of principle that cannot be compromised.”

In a related context, the statement rejected the UN Security Council resolution regarding a “peacekeeping force” in Gaza, considering it a fulfillment of the Israeli occupation’s objectives and a representation of “methods of guardianship and mandate” under American supervision.
