Palestine factions call on Algeria to reject American project related to Gaza

GAZA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip on Sunday called on the Algerian government and people to reject the passage of the American resolution concerning the legalization of foreign guardianship over the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the factions said they “are following the ongoing efforts within the corridors of the United Nations to pass the resolution related to deploying international forces in the Gaza Strip, under different titles that practically represent a new attempt to impose another form of occupation on Palestine’s land and people, and to legalize foreign guardianship over the future of our national cause.”

The statement added: “In light of this dangerous development, we in the Palestinian resistance factions make a honest and brotherly appeal to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, both its government and people, to continue adhering to its principled positions in support of Palestine, and its firm rejection of any projects aimed at undermining Gaza’s identity and our people’s right to self-determination.”

It clarified that Algeria’s historic stance, which has never abandoned Palestine, represented the real hope for our people in confronting this project that seeks to impose a new occupation under international cover.

The factions affirmed that ‘any foreign intervention in Gaza, whatever its name, would be a violation of the national sovereignty and a continuation of Palestinian people’s suffering, adding that the only way to achieve security and stability is to end the occupation, lift the siege, and respect the will of people and their inalienable rights.

They called on all Arab and Islamic countries, and all free people of the world to stand against this decision, reject any form of tutelage or foreign intervention, and defend Gaza’s right to freedom, dignity, and independence.
