HADRAMOUT, Nov. 10 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted this afternoon, Monday, in the Sāh district of Hadramout governorate, eastern Yemen, resulting in approximately four wounded, including elements of the UAE-backed “Hadrami Elite” factions.
The Hadrami activist, Al-Walid Bin Shamlan Al-Tamimi, confirmed that the confrontations broke out between an armed tribal checkpoint and members of the “Hadrami Elite” factions responsible for protecting companies in the area. The clashes left four people wounded, including three tribal fighters.
He explained that the armed checkpoint was recently established and accused the Hadramout’s Governor loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, Mabkhout Bin Madi, of being behind its creation.
Al-Tamimi indicated that the confrontations between the “Elite” elements and the tribal fighters were due to the latter blocking the road for fuel convoys transporting electricity supplies to the Hadramout coast power stations.
