Yemeni official warns Saudi Arabia against delaying 2023 peace plan

SANAA, Nov. 02 (YPA) -A senior official in the Sanaa government has issued a stern warning to Saudi Arabia over delays in implementing the 2023 roadmap agreed to by both sides.

“The Saudi regime’s claims of US pressure are no justification for evading its obligations to the Yemeni people, who have endured more than a decade of brutal aggression and an unjust blockade,” Hizam al-Asad, a member of Ansarullah’s political council, wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He stressed that The responsibility and its consequences of continued delays rest solely with Riyadh.

Al-Asad added, “Let it remember well that delays will not serve its interests.”
