Update: Toll of victims from Israeli aggression in Gaza rises to over 238,900 dead, injured

GAZA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the total number of casualties from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 238,933 dead and wounded since October 7, 2023.

The documented toll so far stands at 68,531 martyrs (dead) and 170,402 injuries, according to the ministry’s daily statistical report.

The report revealed that during the past 24 hours, the sector’s hospitals received four martyrs (including one new fatality and two bodies retrieved) and seven wounded from the Israeli occupation forces’ fire.

The ministry indicated that efforts to retrieve victims are ongoing, with a total of 474 bodies of martyrs recovered since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025.

Furthermore, 75 bodies have been identified out of the 195 corpses received from the Israeli side.

Many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them, the ministry noted.
