Hamas delegation arrives in Cairo to follow up on ceasefire implementation

DOHA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced late Sunday evening that a delegation from its leadership, headed by Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, had arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The movement explained in a press statement that the purpose of the visit is to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, in coordination with the mediators and Palestinian factions and forces.

The first phase of the agreement, which includes a ceasefire, Israeli occupation forces withdrawal, prisoner exchange, and aid entry, came into effect on October 10th.

This move comes amid “many obstacles” and “continuous Israeli violations” currently impeding the full execution of the agreement.
