Hamas holds occupation responsible for any collapse of ceasefire agreement

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) holds the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for any possible deterioration or collapse of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, stressing its full commitment to the terms of the agreement and its precise and responsible implementation.

In a press statement, the movement said, on Sunday, that it calls on mediators and the international community to urgently intervene to stop the occupation’s practices and ensure the implementation of the agreement, stressing that any breach by the occupation will undermine efforts aimed at consolidating the calm.

“The movement has fully and precisely adhered to the agreement, and that the mediators and guarantors have not provided any evidence of any violation or obstruction on its part, calling for obligating the occupation to respect the terms of the agreement and implement it without procrastination or selectivity,” Hamas added.

The movement’s statement comes in light of the continued Israeli field violations in a number of areas of the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement entering into force a few days ago with Egyptian and Qatari mediation and UN support.
