Gaza death toll mounts to 68,159 martyrs, amid ongoing Israeli violations of ceasefire deal

 GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Ministry of Health said on Sunday that bodies of 18 martyrs, 10 of whom were recovered and 8 as a result of direct Israeli shelling, and 3 injured people were admitted to hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry in a statement affirmed that a number of victims are trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.

It announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 68,159 martyrs, with 170,203 injured, since October 7, 2023.

The statement noted that since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025 the total number of martyrs has reached 35, the total number of injuries has risen to 146, and the total number of recovered bodies has mounted 414.

It clarified that 15 unidentified bodies held by the occupation were received.
