Sanaa’s Foreign Ministry issues new statement on UN spies

SANAA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The Head of the International Organizations Department at the Foreign Ministry of the Sanaa government, Mohammed Al-Saadi, stated that “the United Nations is responsible for not allowing itself to become an umbrella for espionage and sabotage activities.”

He added that it was incumbent upon the UN to request access to the conclusive evidence held by the Sanaa authorities confirming the involvement of some of its employees in espionage activities, and to cooperate with the country’s authorities.

Al-Saadi affirmed that “there is no immunity for any spy, saboteur, or anyone who interferes in Yemen’s internal affairs.”

He stressed that the supreme interest and national security of the country supersede any other immunities or interests.
