Islamic Jihad mourns martyrdom of Al-Ghumari, praising Yemen’s sacrifices in support of Palestine

GAZA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine mourned on Thursday the Chief of Staff of the Sanaa-based Yemeni armed forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghumari, whose martyrdom was declared in Sanaa earlier today.

In a statement, the movement offered its deepest condolences to the Yemeni people and the leadership of the Ansarallah movement, as well as the armed forces, praising the firm and honorable positions taken by the Yemenis in support of the Palestinian cause and in confronting the Israeli aggression.

The statement affirmed that the Palestinian people would remain loyal to the sacrifices of the Yemeni people, expressing its pride in “their martyrs who gave their lives in support of Palestine”.

It also noted that the intermingling of Palestinian and Yemeni blood in confronting the occupation embodied the unity of position and destiny among the people of the nation.

This obituary comes after the armed forces announced the martyrdom of Major General Al-Ghumari, who was described as a prominent jihadist figure in playing a key role for supporting the Palestinian cause during the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The movement’s obituary demonstrated the depth of rapprochement and coordination between Palestinian resistance factions and the Regional Support Axis in light of the Israeli escalation.
