Hackers breach public address systems in US, Canadian airports with messages supporting Palestine

WORLD, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Public address systems at four airports across the United States and Canada were hacked by pro-Palestinian hackers.

Messages supporting Hamas and others opposing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump were broadcast.

The incidents occurred at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania and three Canadian airports; Kelowna and Victoria (British Columbia), and Windsor (Ontario).

A spokesman for Harrisburg Airport stated that “an unauthorized user gained access to the public address system and played an unauthorized audio recording” for several minutes.

The messages, which were attributed to “Turkish Hacker Cyber Islam,” included phrases such as “Netanyahu, Trump, Free Palestine.” Although the messages did not contain direct threats, their content caused panic among passengers and led to the temporary shutdown of the systems and the initiation of comprehensive security investigations.
