Sanaa-based armed forces declare martyrdom of Chief of General Staff

SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based armed forces announced on Thursday the martyrdom of Major General Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of the armed forces, while performing his duties as part of national duty.

In an official statement, the armed forces said that Major General Al-Ghamari was martyred while performing his duty as part of national duty, noting that he was one of the senior leaders who had assumed field and combat roles over the past years.

The statement emphasized that Al-Ghamari’s martyrdom is part of the series of sacrifices made by military leaders in defense of the homeland, adding that the journey will continue with a spirit of determination and steadfastness until the desired goals be achieved.

It noted that the deceased’s life was full of giving and responsibility, “emphasizing that his life will remain a source of inspiration in the path of national action.”
