Petro: There will be no change in diplomatic relations with “Israel”

BOGOTÁ, Oct. 16 (YPA)- Colombian President Gustavo Petro affirmed that there will be no change in diplomatic relations with “Israel” until it complies with the agreements

Petro also pointed out that the occupation forces did not release Palestinian doctor Hossam Abu Safiya, explaining that “his crime was treating children at the hospital until Netanyahu’s forces arrived to arrest him.”

He added, “We will honor him even in prison,” indicating Colombia’s solidarity with the detained doctor.

Colombia had cut diplomatic relations with “Israel” in 2024 in protest against the war in Gaza but maintained a limited consular representation with four Israeli diplomats.
