Rabid dogs terrorize residents on streets of Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 15 (YPA) – A state of severe anxiety and fear has gripped residents of Taiz city, which is under control of Saudi-led coalition factions, due to widespread and alarming proliferation of rabid dogs in its streets and neighborhoods, threatening  the safety of citizens, particularly children and women.

In statements to the press, several locals confirmed that the number of rabid dogs has skyrocketed to unprecedented levels. The animals roam neighborhoods freely both day and night, creating a state of panic and forcing many residents to restrict their children’s movements out of fear of potential attacks or the risk of disease transmission.

Residents noted that this alarming increase is occurring amid a lack of effective intervention by authorities, threatening both public health and security.

In a related context, residents urgently appealed to pro- coalition authorities, calling for swift action to implement a comprehensive campaign to eliminate stray dogs and reduce their presence in residential neighborhoods, streets, and alleys.

The residents warned that further delay could lead to dire repercussions, calling for an immediate end to the “state of terror” over the city and for safety to be restored to its streets.
