SHABWA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Two women were injured in a horrific run-over accident involving a military vehicle belonging to Emirati-backed armed factions in Ataq city, the provincial capital of Shabwa, southeast Yemen.
Human rights sources in the province said that a military vehicle belonging to the Shabwa Defense Forces (SDF) was speeding on Monday and ran over the two women as they passed through a city street. The women sustained injuries was transported to the city’s hospital for medical treatment.
The sources indicated that the accident was part of a series of incidents against civilians, reflecting a disregard for the lives of passersby as military vehicles speed without regard for the safety and security of civilians.
Popular calls are being grown in Shabwa to put an end to the violations and repeated run-over accidents caused by military vehicles belonging to Emirati factions, and to hold accountable those responsible for these incidents, which claim the lives and injure civilians.
