Al-Qassam Brigades to release 13 Israeli captives in second phase of prisoner exchange

GAZA, OCt. 13 (YPA) -The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that they will hand over 13 additional Israeli captives in the southern Gaza Strip shortly, as part of the second phase of the ongoing prisoner exchange deal.

The handover comes in line with the agreed-upon procedures under the US-backed ceasefire and exchange framework, which aims to de-escalate the conflict and secure the release of detainees on both sides.

Meanwhile, Israel’s public broadcaster KAN reported that Red Cross teams are en route to a second rendezvous point in Khan Younis to receive the second group of Israeli captives, as part of the ongoing “Operation Al-Ahrar Flood” prisoner exchange deal.
