Meteorology warns of cold weather in mountainous highlands

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, and workers in the mountainous highlands on Sunday of cold weather.

In its weather bulletin, the center expected that partly cloudy to cloudy weather with scattered showers on parts of the provinces of Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet, and the western parts of Dhamar and Sanaa, as well as Bayda, Amran, Saada, and Lahj.

It also warned of poor visibility on roads and in the highlands due to low clouds and the formation of fog or water mist.

Winds may be moderate around the Socotra Archipelago, the southern coasts, and the Gulf of Aden, with Clear to partly cloudy weather and active winds on desert areas.
