Son of Salafi leader killed by explosive device explosion in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The son of a Salafi was killed and his father was injured when an explosive device exploded in the car they were traveling in on the dirt road in Wadi Ubaidah, east of Marib city, which is under the control of the Islah Party.

Informed local sources reported that the explosion of the explosive device planted in the car carrying Salafi “Muti’a Ali Abdullah Fadhil” yesterday, near the “Bin Maili” station and “Ranah” shops in Wadi Ubaidah, led to the immediate death of his son “Qatada”.

They indicated that the Salafi “Muti’a” was transferred to a hospital in the city to receive treatment for his injuries, without knowing the identity of the perpetrators behind the bombing or their motives.

This incident occurred in the Wadi Ubaidah area, known for the spread and concentration of elements of the “Al-Qaeda and ISIS” organizations. The Al-Samda area has become a center for the leadership of terrorist elements since the operation to expel them from Al-Bayda districts during the year 2020 AD.
