E-Dreams ODIGEO removes listings for accommodation in Israeli settlements

MADRID, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Spanish travel company ‘eDreams ODIGEO’ announced on Monday the removal of all accommodation offers in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories from its website, pledging to permanently block them.

In a statement, the company’s chief financial officer, David Elízaga, stated that eDreams’ policy does not permit the provision of services in illegal settlements, and that some of the offers previously were appeared as a result of direct uploads by owners.

This move is in response to protests that eDreams’ general assembly meeting last July.

eDreams faced additional pressure as the only Spanish company named in a UN report on companies involved in settlement-related activities, prompting it to implement rigorous vetting processes to ensure compliance with its policies.
