OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Despite the passage of two years since the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, “Israel” continues its policy of concealment and deception regarding the scale of its human losses in the aggressive war on Gaza, attempting to obscure its military and informational failures in the face of escalating strikes by the Palestinian resistance.
The so-called “Israeli Ministry of Defence” announced that the total number of its fatalities since October 7, 2023, has reached 1,150, including 1,035 officers and soldiers, according to the Hebrew-language “Channel 12.”
The figures, according to the announcement, include those killed in the October 7 attack and in the wars in Gaza, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank.
“The Jerusalem Post” had previously cited Israeli military data stating that 1,152 Israeli soldiers have fallen since October 7, noting that over 40% of them were under the age of 21, while 141 of the fatalities were over the age of 40.
The newspaper revealed that most of the deceased were reservists, officials, soldiers who extended their service, or individuals who served past the mandatory age.
To show how serious the situation is for Israel, “Channel 12” reported from the Israeli National Insurance Institute that almost 80,000 settlers have been labeled as injured in “hostile acts,” and another 30,000 are dealing with mental health issues since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, highlighting the deep impact of the losses suffered by the Israeli occupation.
Conversely, the Palestinian Resistance asserts that the officially announced figures represent only a fraction of the reality, noting that “Israel” deliberately conceals the true tally of its dead and wounded, particularly on the Gaza fronts, which have witnessed the fiercest clashes and the heaviest losses among Israeli occupation forces since its founding.
The “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation was launched on the dawn of Saturday, October 7, 2023, as the largest coordinated Palestinian assault by land, sea, and air on the Zionist enemy positions and settlements in the “Gaza envelope,” in response to repeated Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic holy sites, as well as settlement crimes in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank.
