Angry protest rally staged in Abyan against STC corruption

ABYAN, Oct. 06 (YPA) – An angry protest rally was staged on Sunday in the city of Lauder in Abyan province, which is under the control of UAE-funded factions, demanding the departure of the director of the district and leaders in the Southern Transitional Council (STC).

In the rally, the protesters stressed the need for the departure of the director of the Lauder district, “Jamal Elala“, and the head of the STC’s branch, Saleh al-Sad, against the background of corruption cases and looting of public money, without any services.

The participants raised slogans demanding the departure of district’s officials and STC leaders, calling on the local authorities in the province and the coalition-run Aden government to reform the administrative situation.

They considered the survival of the current administration unacceptable, which will be met with escalation, and pointed out that corruption deepens the suffering of citizens due to the deterioration of services and living conditions.
