QUDS, Oct. 02 (YPA) – Dozens of Zionist settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Quds (Jerusalem) under tight protection by the Israeli occupation police, citing the “Day of Atonement” (Yom Kippur).
Palestinian sources reported that occupation forces tightened their military measures around Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the Old City of Jerusalem, obstructing Palestinians from entering the mosque courtyards to secure the entry of large numbers of settlers.
Groups affiliated with the so-called “Union of Temple Organizations” called on their supporters to participate widely in storming Al-Aqsa Mosque next Monday, under the pretext of celebrating the Hebrew “Feast of Tabernacles.”
The occupation police turned the city into a large prison by closing streets with concrete blocks and deploying iron barriers, aiming to facilitate the passage of settlers’ buses and prevent the movement of residents between neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
