Hamas: Trump’s proposal is an attempt to stifle international momentum and recognition of State of Palestine

GAZA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – Senor Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi confirmed on Monday that the plan announced by US President Donald Trump is vague and not guaranteed.

In remarks aired by Al Jazeera Mubasher on Monday evening, Mardawi said “This proposal is an attempt to stifle international momentum and recognition of the Palestinian state”.

He added, “What was announced in the Trump plan is vague and not guaranteed.”

“We will not accept any proposal that does not include self-determination for the Palestinian people and protect them from massacres,” Mardawi stressed.

He noted that the Movement “will review the American proposal and discuss it with the Palestinian factions.

Earlier today, The White House unveiled a 20-point Gaza peace plan, proposing an immediate ceasefire, hostage and prisoner exchanges, demilitarisation, humanitarian aid, international governance led by Trump and Tony Blair, and a long-term framework for Gaza’s reconstruction.
