GAZA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing, held on Sunday the Israeli occupation forces responsible for the lives of two Israeli prisoners after losing contact with them in central Gaza Strip.
The Brigades declare in a statement that contact with the two Israeli prisoners, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest, has been lost due to the intense military operations and Israeli shelling of the Al-Sabra and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods in Gaza City over the past two days.
The statement warned that the lives of the two captives are now in real danger, calling on the Israeli occupation forces to immediately withdraw south of Salah al-Din Street (Road 8) and cease all aerial operations for 24 hours, starting at 6:00 PM today, to allow an opportunity to attempt to rescue them.
This warning is consistent with previous statements by the Qassam Brigades that the Israeli aggression against Gaza threatens the lives of the Israeli soldiers being held in the Strip.
On September 20, the Qassam Brigades published a photo of 46 Israeli prisoners, stating that their fate would be solely the result of “Netanyahu’s intransigence”.
