New incursion waged by Israeli occupation into southern Syria

DAMASCUS, Sept. 26 (YPA) – The south of Syria was being witnessed a new escalation on the ground with the incursion of the Israeli occupation forces in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, in conjunction with intensive flights of warplanes in the airspace of several Syrian provinces, including Homs and Hama.

The official Syrian news agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli force comprising SUVs, armored vehicles and heavy machinery, including a bulldozer, penetrated in the town of Ain Zwan towards Tel Abu Qubais in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

The SANA stressed that these moves post a violation of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement and a violation of international law and Security Council resolutions.

Local sources explained that the vehicles were stationed east of the top hill at the entrance, which included a Syrian regime guard post.

Early in the day, another Israeli patrol carried out an incursion into the villages of Abdin and Al-Arda in the Yarmouk Basin area of the western Daraa countryside, where the occupation forces deployed inside the residential neighborhoods, amid Israeli drones flying over the area and reaching the northern countryside of the province.

At the same time, the airspace of southern Syria witnessed a continuous flight of Israeli aircraft, at a time when the occupation’s almost daily incursions be repeated, which are often accompanied by arrests against civilians, including farmers and sheep herders, as well as the bulldozing of agricultural land.
