President Mattarella receives Palestinian ambassador to Italy

ROMA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – Italia’s President Sergio Mattarella officially received on Friday Ms. Mona AbuAmara, the ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Italy.

During the official accreditation ceremony, which took place at the presidential palace in Rome, the Italian honor guard got Abu Amara, where the ceremony took place in accordance with the approved diplomatic protocol.

The ambassador stated that her mission represents an important step in strengthening international support for the rights of the Palestinian people and in consolidating cooperation with official Italian institutions and civil society organizations.

Abu Amara explained that she would work to achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence.

For his part, President Mattarella congratulated Ambassador Abu Amara, wishing her success, and reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to supporting efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, based on international legitimacy.
