UN experts call on FIFA, UEFA to suspend “Israel” amid ‘ongoing genocide’ in Palestine

WORLD, Sept. 24 (YPA) – The UN experts on Monday called on FIFA and UEFA to suspend Israel’s national football team from international competitions due to its war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

According to Russia’s TASS news agency, the experts based their request on what they described as the “ongoing genocide in the Palestinian territories.”

 Reports have previously indicated that UEFA is already considering suspending Israel from its tournaments.

The demand comes amid growing international condemnation of Israel’s military actions in the Gaza Strip.

 The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory has determined that Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip amount to the crime of genocide, stating that “Israel” has destroyed the reproductive capacity of Palestinians in the territory as a group.
