OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Israeli settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy protection from the occupation police, on Monday morning, to commemorate the so-called Hebrew New Year.
The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa and organized provocative tours in its courtyards.
It explained that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the eastern area of the mosque, amid heavy guard.
The occupation forces tightened their military measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the Old City, and restricted the entry of worshippers and Jerusalemites to the mosque.
The extremist settler organization “Pedenu” called on its supporters to carry out large-scale incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque during the period extending from September 22 to 24, under the pretext of commemorating the Hebrew New Year.
