Civilian injured in Taiz armed attack

TAIZ, Sept. 21 (YPA) – A civilian was injured by militants of coalition forces in the city of Taiz, amid unprecedented chaos gripping the city.

A local source confirmed that Ahmed Al-Maqtari was shot on Saturday by a member of the Islah Party-run 170th Brigade forces, while he was inside his shop.

The source indicated that armed elements led by Ezzedin Al-Makhlafi imposed taxes and extorting money from shop owners at gunpoint.

Al-Makhlafi and his gunmen managed to escape to the 170th Brigade camp, amidst the chaos that the city has gripped, following the assassination of the sanitation fund director, Afthan Al-Mashari, by the pro-Islah armed members last Thursday.
