Maduro to Cuban Delegation: Our peoples are under attack. We must continue the struggle

CARACAS, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has denounced what he described as a “hybrid war” being waged by the United States against both Venezuela and Cuba.

Speaking during a meeting on Saturday with a visiting Cuban government delegation, Maduro said the people of both nations are enduring a “war that some call multi-form and others describe as hybrid,” adding that while geopolitical theorists may give it different names, “the undeniable truth is that it is an immoral war.”

He emphasized the need for continued solidarity and resilience in the face of foreign pressures, stating: “We must continue to move forward, to resist, to struggle, to seek solutions, and to support each other.”

Maduro also lashed out at what he called the “immoral mafias of the North,” accusing them of trying to destabilize the region.

He reiterated that true peace will always be the victory of sovereign peoples.

We are warriors for love and for the great homeland,” he concluded.

Cuba was among the first to express solidarity with Venezuela following a recent incident in which a Venezuelan vessel was reportedly attacked by US forces.

The country’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla condemned the incident, calling it “a clear violation of international law and a serious provocation that threatens peace and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
