OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported on Wednesday that security coordination between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates is continuing as usual, dismissing earlier media claims of a downgrade in ties.
According to Kan, Israeli sources rejected reports suggesting a deterioration in security relations with Egypt, calling them “inaccurate.”
Earlier media reports had indicated that Cairo had decided to reduce security coordination with Israel “until further notice” after the Doha attack. However, the reports noted that official channels of communication remain open under the framework of the Egypt-Israel peace treaty.
Last week, “Israel” reportedly carried out an unprecedented airstrike on the Qatari capital, targeting a meeting of senior Hamas negotiators.
The assassination attempt reportedly failed and drew widespread condemnation across the Arab world and from the international community.
Egypt strongly condemned the strike, calling it a “dangerous escalation” and “a direct threat to the security of a fellow Arab nation that constitutes an integral part of Arab national security.”
In comments made on Wednesday, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Israel was deliberately cutting off food, medicine, water, electricity, and essential supplies while carrying out large-scale air and ground assaults.
He described the policy as a “systematic starvation strategy” designed to “liquidate the Palestinian cause” and warned that it threatens to destabilise neighbouring Arab states.
