AMSTERDAM, Sept. 18 (YPA) – The British band Bob Phelan performed at the Doornroosje Theater in Amsterdam city, chanting such as “Death to the Israeli army” and “Freedom for Palestine, with raising the Palestinian flag .
Despite demands to cancel the concert by a Jewish organization, a Dutch court granted permission for it to proceed last Monday.
The concert came one day after the United States announced it was revoking the band’s visas following similar chants during their performance at the Glastonbury Festival in England.
The band was scheduled to perform last Tuesday at the O13 Theater in Tilburg, but organizers declared to cancel it, accusing lead singer Bobby Filan of using derogatory terms about far-right commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead last week in Utah.
