SANAA, July 30 (YPA) – The United Nations special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, disclosed the only Arab state that could stop the war in Yemen.
“I don’t think we will succeed in stopping the war in Yemen and finding a political solution for it without the help and experience of Kuwait,” Martin Griffiths said during his meeting with the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday, the KUNA news agency reported.
He added that Kuwait is the central pivot for us and for peace in Yemen.
“Although these talks did not reach a peace agreement at the time, they set the path towards peace, which we hope to achieve in Yemen, within the next month,” he said.
“Many parts of the world are experiencing conflicts as the region is experiencing, but it is privileged and unusual to find a man like the Emir of Kuwait to dedicate to peace,” the UN envoy added.
